Vash the Stampede | Trigun Maximum (post-ending)

I. ARRIVAL
[The newest person on the tour is a tall, lanky man in a bright red coat, with black hair swept up into a gravity-defying hairdo. Though he's all smiles as the tour guides answer his questions and leads him around, there's an alert edge to his otherwise pleasant demeanor.

Vash might've willingly agreed to be here, but did that mean it was a good idea? He isn't quite sure why they chose him of all people for this project, but he's not about to ask his guide, who seemed like a volunteer and not someone who was deeply involved with the process of bringing in newcomers. Still, that didn't stop his mind from running in circles.

Don't they know? Well of course they know, that woman made psychic contact! She must've picked up something from me, even if she didn't dig too deeply. And my planet's just as dead as this one, isn't it? It makes a certain amount of sense, but at the same time, it really doesn't! Or could it be they're worried about-

After a while of that, Vash was on the verge of asking his tour guide something a little less direct, but then a flash of blue catches his eye - and Vash rushes back over to the window they just walked past, hands flat on the windowsill, leaning in far enough for his nose to touch the glass.]

Is that water?!

[From the window, the ocean is the most prominent feature, stretching forever into the distance. There's even a strip of green grass at the top of the cliffs that border the water, adding up to a view that leaves Vash dumbfounded and giddy in equal measure.]

It's... it's beautiful. I never thought I'd ever get to see a real ocean...

[In fact, he's starting to visibly tear up, his breath clouding the glass the longer he gazes outward.]

II-A. FOOD STALLS
[The magic on display is eye-catching, and often makes a spectacle of itself, but not knowing the nature of it makes Vash a little uneasy. Besides, there's a lot of delicious smells wafting through the ballroom, and he has no problem with following his stomach over to where the food stalls are lined up. There's a lot of fresh food on offer, and some of the chefs were even using their own fire magic to cook right in front of their customers. Even better was the fact that they were willing to pile on the food for what amounted to just a few double-dollars and pennies.

That's how he ended up with his arms full of little cartons and trays of food, from vegetable buns to fries to roasted corn. The lack of meat was a little disappointing, but there was one booth that had eggs on the menu for some much-needed protein. They had an interesting method of preparation, too, one that involved pouring beaten eggs into a heated tube...

Vash is utterly delighted when he's handed a cylinder of cooked eggs on the end of a stick.]

Would you look at this? I've never seen anything like it! This magic of theirs can do some amazing things!

[He proudly displays his egg-on-a-stick to the nearest bystander before taking a big bite off the top of his treat.]

II-B. PETTING ZOO
[The animals are mildly familiar to him, but only just. There were only a few small Earth animals that had made it to his planet; the rest he had seen a couple of times in educational videos as a child, but that had been a long time ago. What little Vash did remember of it is what's making the sight in front of him feel just a little... off.

He's leaning against one of the temporary fences set up to keep the animals contained, staring quizzically down at a couple of furry chickens, by far the strangest of the bunch. The elephant bothered him less only because he was far less familiar with the concept of one. They were weird, but not incongruous like the things that were stretching their stubbly wings as they pecked at the feed that was scattered around their feet.]

You know... something doesn't feel quite right about this. In fact, I'm pretty sure that one could give me nightmares.

V. NETWORK

Hey, isn't this usually a drinking game???

Okay, take these on for size:
1. I'm great at chess!
2. Once I was a passenger on a sand steamer that was hijacked by bandits!
3. I also fell out of a ship that was flying about five miles up and survived!

That reminds me... this castle is amazing, but does anyone know if they're planning on putting in electricity? I haven't seen a Plant here, but this place is more than big enough for them to have one stashed away.

VI. WILDCARD
[Gimme anything! Vash won't be giving any classes and he'll be a little leery of magic, but it's safe to encounter him nearly anywhere.]
